Outdoor Play.....

We have been enjoying playing outside in the sunshine. We have new bikes which are lots of fun!

We had to cool down by having an ice lolly!!!

Stay and Make.....

Lots of parents joined us to make Pom-Pom Easter Chickens. We had lots of fun!! Our next `Stay` will be in June, we hope you can join us.

We have started our new R.E topic. This is about feelings, sorrow and happiness and we have made our Lenten Promises. We have learnt all about Jesus at Easter and even had our own Last Supper.

World Book Day....

The children had a very enjoyable day learning all about Harry Potter and all his friends. We had a typical day at `Spell School`, making potions, star gazing writing spells and playing quiddich!!

As part of our R.E. work, we have been learning all about the celebration of a wedding. We have made this our topic for the week. We have done lots of wedding themed activities and combined literacy, numeracy and DT.  The children have all enjoyed this topic and helped to create a special `Reception Wedding Day`

We hope you enjoy our photo gallery.

Happy Valentines Day

Our First class Assembly 7th February 2017.

We have been learning all about God and the World we live in. We have learnt that God made us, the world and all the animals. We learnt this song and really enjoyed performing it to the whole school.

What to expect, when?- A guide to your child's learning and development in the early years foundation stage.

The purpose of this document is to find out more about how your child is learning and developing.

Please have a look at daily life in reception. We enjoy doing lots of fun and practical activities.

In reception we follow the EYFS curriculum. We focus on the 3 prime areas- Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language,Physical Development. We also promote reading, writing and numeracy learning. The children are also given the opportunity to develop their understanding of the world and of expressive arts and design. Throughout the year in reception all children are given playful, challenging opportunities to foster the characteristics of early learning- playing and exploring, active learning and creating and thinking critically. Each child is unique and given the correct support and guidance to remain an effective and motivated learner.
