ORSTEDAs part of STEM Club we were given resources by ORSTED to explore the power of the wind. We made wind socks and an anemometer and explored the different career opportunities within the company.

Structures - Each pair was challenged to build the biggest structure using cocktail sticks and marshmallows. Before we began building we discussed the strongest shapes which are used to build some of the worlds biggest structures.

DunkabilityThis was everyones favourite investigation! In small groups we explored the absorbency of different biscuits which had very suprising results! We always make a prediction before our test and then compare with results.

Stretchability - Each team had to see how far their piece of PlayDoh could stretch.

Oobleck - This is another favorite Club activity! Very messy but utterly fascinating! Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid that behaves like both a solid and a liquid, depending on how much pressure is applied.
