Applying for a Nursery Place

Children can start in Little Lambs Nursery in September, January and March/April, depending on their age and spaces available. Children are eligible to start Nursery the term after they turn 2 years old with funding.  Please note that 2 year old places are limited to those with funded places only.

Nursery admission forms can be downloaded using the link below and returned to the School Office. Little Lambs Nursery is responsible for allocating nursery places and decisions are made in accordance with the school's Nursery Admissions Policy, a copy of which is available in the policies section of our websiteA place in Nursery does not guarantee a Reception Class place.

We have places for 4 funded 2 year old pupils and 24 3 year old pupils in Little Lambs Nursery, in both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Applying for a Reception Place

For Reception places you will receive a County Application Leaflet re: Starting School September Entry into the Reception Year Group. To apply for a school place you must complete the online application form or the paper equivalent (SA1 ‘Admission to Infant / Primary School’). This allows parents to state their preference of school for their child and should be completed by the deadline date (January). Parents will be informed of the outcome in April. See the policies section of our website for our school's Admission Policy.

We have an pupil admissions number of 30.

There will be an induction programme for new Nursery and Reception children. They will be invited into school during the Summer term before starting, to meet the other children in their class and to meet the teacher. There will also be a meeting for parents to allow them to ask any questions. For children starting Nursery the Keywork will make home/school visits. Children new to St Pius X Catholic Primary School, starting in Reception will also receive a home/school visit.
